Helen is a dedicated public servant with a career spanning three distinct sectors, including service in His Majesty’s Armed Forces. She joined the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) in 2013 following a successful career in Trading Standards, bringing with her a strong commitment to enforcement, regulation and public protection.

Since joining the IPO, Helen has held a range of roles across IP enforcement, including Policy and Outreach, partnership engagement, and campaigns. Her work has focused on strengthening collaboration between government, law enforcement and industry to improve the response to IP crime and infringement.

In 2021, Helen became Head of Partnership Engagement, where she led the development of a national IP enforcement network across law enforcement agencies. This included supporting the integration of IP Coordinators into Regional Organised Crime Units and Border Force.

More recently, as Head of Engagement and Campaigns, Helen has strengthened relationships across law enforcement, government and industry, while delivering award winning consumer awareness campaigns that highlight the hidden harms and consequences of IP crime and infringement.
